| At the start November on a damp and murky Saturday morning a party of Brethren from West Lancashire arrived in the Welsh Valleys, actually Pontyclun, to attend the Severn District meeting. |

| Arriving at Pontyclun Masonic Hall they received a warm welcome from Ron Slater the District Grand Prefect, following the welcome they were able to meet friends and share a welcome cup of tea together with a plentiful supply of biscuits. |

| Leading the deputation was the DGP Paul Snape; he was accompanied by Geoff Catterall and Ernie Gavan, also attending was the District Prefect for East Lancashire Mervyn Wilson accompanied by Paul Waring. The East Lancashire delegation has made an early start from Piccadilly travelling by train through the Welsh Borders. |

| Following the meeting around 90 members of the Allied Degree sat down to a magnificent four course lunch together with suitable quantities of wine followed by a glass or two of fine Vintage Port. |
